Merry X[bar]mas

Instead of Secret Santa parties linguistics programs should hold Contextually Neutralized Santa parties.

But I missed out on the fun that several colleagues had this year. Dangit. I could have received a card like this to put on the coffee table. Dangit.

  1. I am keeping that card forever and ever and ever. I don't understand how the tree works, but I don't care.

You really should join us next time!

  2. Amazing. But don't TP and CP need Specs? Or is this supposed to be derivationally midway? What set of assumptions about features, phrase structure, and movement does this tree emerge from??!?!!

  3. Ha! I was thinking that too. But I assumed that the nearest ornaments might fill the gaps.

  4. OH MY GOODNESS! I HATED my Spanish syntax class - but I still think that is the coolest Christmas card I've ever seen!

Thanks for reaching out.
